The registration process at Kenwood High School begins in January with visits to the classroom by the school counseling office. At that time, graduation requirements and individual courses are discussed. Students are then given the registration forms to complete. We ask that parents and students choose the classes wisely as schedules will not be changed once the next school year begins unless the counseling office made an error. Students may change their schedule until the end of the school year. If a student fails a class the counselor will place them back in that class until they complete summer school if that is an option. If you have a question about next year's schedule please call the guidance office.

Grade Eight (enrolling for grade nine) This registration is done at the feeder middle schools in December. If there are any changes needed they need to be requested before the end of the school year in June. Recommendations for Honors Classes are done by the middle school teachers and are honored by Kenwood's school counseling office.

Grade Nine (enrolling for grade ten) Grade nine students will be choosing an Educational Pathway. This is a state graduation requirement. Check out the pathway information page for details.

Grade Ten (enrolling for grade eleven) Grade ten students need to register for the next pathway classes in their chosen pathway. Check out the pathway charts for details.

Grade Eleven (enrolling for grade twelve) If you are on a college pathway you need to be taking as many academic classes as possible. Colleges are looking at how strong your academic program is. You have options about the Parallel Enrollment Program (you must have at least a 2.5 GPA to participate) and work study. See your counselor for details. If you are to do an internship for your career pathway you need to work with your grade eleven pathway teacher.
