Summer Reading Is Cool!
Take time this summer to cool off with a good book. It's relaxing, it's inexpensive, and it is a great way to help your mind grow.

Teens Read
Make it your business to visit the closest branch of the Baltimore County Public Library this summer. The librarians there will be happy to give you a reading kit and a copy of the Teen 'zine, Say What? You're never too old to win prizes in their reading contest. Bring along a younger sibling or neighbor and help get them started. While you're there, ask for a new "M" card that allows you to borrow books from any Maryland library branch.

STRIVE for 25!
Kenwood HS will be adopting a BCPS reading initiative this year that encourages ALL students to read a minimum of 25 books a year. Summer reading counts towards your Strive for 25 goal. Keep track of what you read this summer. Use the Reading Log you received from your English teacher or download and print a copy here.
More information about Strive for 25! will be available in the fall in school and on this website.
