Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society is the only national organization for high school juniors and seniors that recognizes excellence in the field of Social Studies.

RHO KAPPA provides students with national recognition and opportunities for exploration in social studies. RHO KAPPA National Social Studies Honor Society is a program that promotes an interest in, understanding of, and appreciation for the social studies.

To qualify for membership, candidates should: 

1. Have completed four semesters of courses in the field of social studies and be prepared to complete at least six semesters.
2. Have an overall cumulative GPA 
of 3.00 
3. Provide evidence of community service and a letter of recommendation from a current teacher.

Membership:

Students meeting the selection criteria will be inducted into RHO KAPPA during a ceremony this winter. Each member is required to participate in regular chapter meetings and activities during the school year.
