Message from the Principal
Dear Students and Parents,
I am enthusiastic to enter into the 2015-2016 school year as the principal at Kenwood High School. Kenwood is a school that is rich in tradition and history. As your principal, I intend to continue and build upon this tradition of excellence and with your help we can propel Kenwood High School into the absolute best high school for students to learn and grow. The school year will be an exciting year to be at Kenwood.
We are preparing students for the 21st century workplace and for jobs that have yet to be invented to be globally competitive. In order to be successful, students will need to be able to:
Think creatively, critically, and intuitively
Solve real world problems
Communicate effectively (verbal & written forms)
Work in teams
Use technology to accelerate learning outcomes
Develop healthy, ethical life-style habits
These are the skills that industry demands of our students. Jobs will require students to be prepared to be college ready even if they are not initially going to college. Our job is to be sure that we are preparing students to meet the challenge.
Take advantage of all that Kenwood has to offer. I encourage each student to embrace our wonderful community and participate in enhancing our school through active support of all the positive aspects of our school.
In support of our school’s vision as a school community we…
of ourselves, our school, and our community.
Strive for More
in our learning, our futures, and our dreams.
challenges, adversity, and perceptions.
Let’s have a great year,
